I had many dreams last night. One I woke up, and thought I should write about in the morning, and then I feel back asleep. I only remember the last dream, the Etsy dream.

It started out that I suddenly decided to sell quilts on Etsy. I listed a quilt I had hand dyed the fabric myself, and made in art school (I actually have this quilt at home). I couldn’t decide on the price (I priced it at $50), but soon found myself at a fabric store looking for fabrics to make new quilts. I picked out some bold solid colors.

Then the dream changed. I was a now a jewelry maker on Etsy. I used gemstones, and made patterns with beads. I remember in the dream several times just thinking of them as stones, but with the knowledge that they were gemstones. I made sure to get a good quality chain, and suddenly had lots of gemstone bead necklaces (made my others) to compare mine too. These gemstone necklaces, made by others, were on my nightstand by my bed. I looked at them, and thought of using the same patterns, and taking some apart to use the string. Near the end of the dream I was thinking about buy supplies to make necklaces on the Internet.

Interpretation?

If it is metaphorical… I don’t think Etsy artist falls under the category of easy to look up dreams.

I think the quilt dreaming meaning is a little old fashioned. I am not sure I have practical and wise business-like ways, and am certainly not looking to get married.

However with both dreams put together. The quilt dream could be like pulling the romance card in an oracle. Only this is a quilt that I handmade, and it was made a while ago in college. So my practical and wise business ways might mean that I went to college. In the dream I went out to buy new fabric. Yet, I did not craft a new quilt. I was selling a old quilt, I made long ago. I was greatly considering how much I should price this quilt for on Etsy.

In that I was selling my handmade crafted material in both parts of the dream seems to also hold meaning. I took on the role of selling artwork.

When you sell your artwork in your dreams, this shows that you are naturally expressive. You have a great talent at being able to get your feelings out in the open and you can explain everything you are feeling in such a way that the person you are talking to feels exactly as if your problems are theirs, and your successes as well. This is a rare talent and one that should be cultivated. If you feel you are capable of being this expressive, then maybe you should think about creating art in the waking world.

The dream also takes on the role of Merchant, or a Store. Yet, I don’t want this to be to excessive of an analysis.

After thought, I think this dream means that my Enlightened way of dealing with my feelings will result in good fortune.

In the dream I was unable to decide the value of my education. The final price was $50.

Now I am thinking of the channeling I did from I think it was Michael where he said, “First Know Thyself.” It isn’t a common phase anymore, and that is the last time I heard it. So the price of my college education is to Lifelong Learning.

I think that the quilt meaning was old fashioned in that when it was likely made, society often considered women’s value to be marriage. A more modern look could be that it isn’t about relationships, but the value of practical and wise business-like ways.

The entire dream is, therefore, about how I value myself, and to expect good fortune to arrive due to my enlightenment and balance.

Suddenly I am reminded of the phase I have been using lately from Brenda Hoffman, the security ‘blanket.’ In fact I was selling a ‘blanket’ in the dream (a quilt), and I was buying fabrics to make a new one.

The dream also hold connections to education, and Brenda also refers to the security blanket, as a graduation present. This quilt was one made in college, but contains year of Life Education afterwards by being connected with the number 50.

This could very well be a hint at what my security blanket will be. Handmade art, with hand dyed fabric. No sooner do I value one then I go out to make my next.

The stones being related to enlightenment, and me having other necklaces to compare to, I think, is a metaphor for me having the enlightenment other teachers to compare my own too. I was building my own enlightenment, but using the patterns already presented to me. I am using the term enlightenment, but it is really a mastery of feeling/emotions I am talking about. I think another way to say enlightenment could be wise feelings.

There I wrote out a decent dream post. I had to as right after the dream ended, I couldn’t fall back to sleep. Apparently analyzing this dream was important enough that I was kept awake to do so.

I could go into the whole Internet aspect of the dream. With the buying of jewelry making supplies on the Internet, and the whole time planning on selling everything on Etsy. I think the Internet represents the Store where I sell/buy.
