Health Drink Recipe #2 Untraditional Traditional Golden Milk

(This is a trial post, more pictures added later if successful. Also, would write out Health Drink Recipe #1 in another post.)

Golden Milk is a traditional health drink in Asia. It is made with turmeric and milk. Gaia Herbs has a Powder Mix of Golden Milk that has dates and other spices already mixed in. I bought this mix a while ago, but as I tend to take supplements of Turmeric did not go through the steps of making it often. I bought Saffron Thread and Ghee in order to make it the traditional recipe found on the container.

To be extra healthy I was wondering if I could add extra health ingredients to the drink. This is basically an experiment based on the ingredients I had on hand.

Here are the Ingredients to this Health Drink Recipe

2 Cups Milk of Choice
1-2 Tsp Ghee
2 Tsp Gaia Herbs Golden Milk
1-2 Tsp Amazing Grass Green Superfood Orignal Flavor
2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Peptide Unflavored
Pinch Saffron (optional)
1-2 Tsp Honey (optional)

Melt Ghee in Saucepan on medium to low heat

Add 2 Cups Milk of Choice

Stir in everything else and heat, but do not bring to a boil

Stir as heating until it seems warmed through

Results of the experiment?

Health drink tends to have green at the top. Need taste test (Getting pot with spout in mail for future easy pouring.)

A green layer of the Amazing Grass Green Superfood appeared on the top. When stirred the green golden liquid was shown underneath.

I poured into a bowl and not a cup to make sure I didn’t spill. After drinking the top green layer which tasted a lot like Golden Milk and not like Amazing Grass Green Superfood, I hit a more traditionally Golden Milk looking layer. At the bottom was another layer of Green powder, but this also did not taste bad.

(BTW my apartment does not have as many spoons as forks so we often run out of spoons between dish washings. That is why I am stirring with a measuring spoon.)
