I would love to be out walking to get exercise and enjoying the special event on Pokemon Go. It is the perfect combination. The more I walk, the more I can eat and the more Pokemon I catch/hatch.
Yet, the weather did not work with me today. If it were just Rainy and Chilly, I could attempt to walk, but the wind was blowing my umbrella around. So I have settled indoors early for a Friday. Perhaps I can catch some Grass Pokemon at home.
Anyway, I invested in some coolers for Summer as they were 50% off at Rite Aid and I had a $10 off of $30 coupon. So I got one cooler to carry my lunch to work in and another to carry frozen foods on my back. As I walk/bus these things will make it easier when it gets hotter.
This is the 10th day into my diet, I have decided I will have one cheat day a Month (or two.) So I am looking forward to planning where I will eat on my cheat day. I am thinking of having it within the next 10 days because I can then take advantage of the Starbucks Happy Hour on Frappuccinos. So I was thinking either the 8th or the 12th.
The Plan so far is as follows…
1) Eat Unlimited Topping Thin Crust Pizza at Pieology. Toppings
- a) Herb Butter Crust
- b) Red Sauce
- c) Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Feta Cheese
- d) Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Onions, Both Kinds of Olives, Roasted Red Pepper, Corn, and Garlic
- e) Pepperoni, a little bacon, and Garbanzo Beans
- f) Pesto Sauce drizzled over the top
This is a flavorful, but also calorie rich combination, I added up the calories of all these toppings and if I wanted it on a non-cheat day, I would have to eat crumbs the rest of the day. So Pizza, even with so many healthy toppings, remains a Cheat Day Food.
2) Starbucks Frappuccino… type to be decided at the moment… likely Green Tea, Strawberry Creme, or Vanilla Bean with Banana mixed in.
If I do not have my cheat day during the next 10 days, replaced Frappuccino with a Chocolate Shake from real Ice Cream at one of three locations… either Great Plains Burger, Kilwins or Elevation Burger.
I have a feeling a majority of my cheat days are going to be spent in this process. Now excuse me while I go eat a Salad with Shredded Pork… I cooked a 2 lb shoulder/neck of pork with sauce in my slow cooker yesterday. Pork has good protein but also is high in fat. However, the high-fat content makes it extra filling if you do not go overboard. Many of today’s diets focus more on Sugar and encourage eating fat because it will fill you up.
I did not realize exactly how much meat is in 2 lbs of pork and will need to get creative because I doubt anyone will help me eat it. So Pork Salad it is! Maybe Pork Salad for Lunch tomorrow too.
